Firstly, Prof. Yaoming Ma gave a talk on “Introduction of the Institute of Tibetan Plateau Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences ”. Secondly, Prof. Fahu Chen gave a presentation to introduce “The Alliance of International Science Organizations in the Belt and Road Region (ANSO)”. After that, Prof. Tandong Yao, Prof. Lonnie Thompson, Ellen Mosley-Thompson and other participants had intense discussion on Pan-Third Pole Monitoring system.

The meeting promoted international cooperation under the TPE, Pan-Third Pole Environment Change Study for a Green Silk Road (Pan-TPE), and the Second Tibetan Plateau Scientific Expedition and Research (STEP).
