During April 18-22, the European Geosciences Union (EGU) General Assembly has been held in Vienna, Austria. Third Pole Environment (TPE) program joined the EGU 2016 and hosted another session entitled “The Third Pole Environment - Observation and modelling of hydro-meteorological processes in high elevation areas”. This session was co-convened by ITP Profs. MA Yaoming and ZHANG Fan, together with Dr. Franco Salerno, research staff of the Water Research Institute (IRSA) and Prof. Bob Su of University of Twente, Netherlands.
TPE session this year witnessed 12 oral and 16 poster presentations, all evolving around the hydro-meteorological processes in high-elevated regions such as the Third Pole. For researchers interested in hydro-meteorological processes in the Third Pole environment, this session served as an ideal platform to promote research findings and exchange academic ideas. The session also enabled a broader presence of the Chinese-led international science plan.
