During April 12-17, the European Geosciences Union General Assembly kicked off in Vienna, Austria. Third Pole Environment (TPE) program joined the EGU 2015 and hosted another session entitled “The Third Pole Environment-observation and modelling of hydro-meteorological processes in high elevation areas”. This session was co-convened by ITP Profs. MA Yaoming and ZHANG Fan, together with Prof. Bob Su of University of Twente, Netherlands.
TPE session this year witnessed 6 oral and 14 poster presentations, all evolving around the hydro-meteorological processes in high-elevated regions such as the Third Pole. Researchers from all over the world shared their latest understanding of this scientific issue, exchanged ideas, and planned on future cooperation. It provided a platform for TPE researchers to show their latest research achievements, and further promote the TPE concept in the international academic world.
