Third Pole Environment (TPE) jointly sponsored a session at the European Geosciences Union (EGU) General Assemblyheld in Vienna, Austria from April 22-27, 2012. The session was part of the Hydrological Sciences Programme Group (HS6.1), and was titled “The Third Pole Environment – Observation and modeling of hydrometeorological processes in high elevation areas.” Yaoming Ma was the Convener of the session, and the Co-Conveners were Peter J.van Oevelen, Bob Su, and Fan Zhang. 11 oral presentations and 16 posters were part of the session.
