From May 2 to 8, 2026, the European Geosciences Union (EGU) 2026 General Assembly was held in Vienna, Austria. The conference included a TPE session, co-convened by Profs MA Yaoming (ITPCAS), Bob Su (the University of Twente, The Netherlands), ZHANG Fan (ITPCAS), WANG Binbin (ITPCAS), and Dr. HU Wei (ITPCAS). It featured 18 high-quality oral presentations and 19 poster presentations spanning hydrometeorology, glacier changes, ecological environment, and geological geomorphology.

With 16 consecutive sessions held to date, the TPE session at EGU has gradually developed into a vital platform for showcasing and exchanging research progress in the Tibetan Plateau and surrounding regions. The session not only promotes interdisciplinary integration, but also encourages wider interest in TPE among the international academic community.
